The Geopark and Biosphere Reserve are classrooms: for schools, universities and anyone curious about how this island was made.
Geo-education is one of the three pillars of every UNESCO Global Geopark. In Rinjani-Lombok, learning happens at the geosites themselves, at the information centres, and in traditional villages where Sasak knowledge of the mountain is passed on.
Schools and universities can arrange field visits and talks with the Agency, and researchers can work with the Rinjani Society's centres.
