Lombok is known for hand-woven songket and ikat textiles, earthenware pottery, woven baskets and bags made from local grasses and fibres, and Sembalun coffee. Buying directly from the villages where they are made, or from geoproduct outlets, means more of the price reaches the maker.
Please don't buy or take home rocks, pumice, coral or shells from the geosites and beaches.
