Tourism in Rinjani-Lombok
Better visits, not just more of them: tourism that protects the landscape and keeps value with the people who live here.
Rinjani is a world-class mountaineering destination, and the Geopark and Biosphere Reserve together give visitors far more than the summit: caldera lakes, waterfalls, volcanic coasts, coral islands, and living Sasak villages and ceremonies.
The Agency's approach puts the quality of visits ahead of their number. That means geotrails that spread visitors across the island, guides and hosts trained to tell the landscape's story, local products and businesses recognised through Rinjani Selects, and trekking that is safe, well managed and fair to porters and communities.
